Spring Equinox – A Celebration

As we approach the spring equinox, the mounting energy in the natural world become impossible to ignore. New born lambs tottering in the fields, daffodils lining the verges, the world moving from its neutral winter palette to something altogether more verdant. It’s time at last for us to emerge from our months of winter quietude and embrace the gifts of spring.

Join Emma and Wendy for a three hour celebration of the Spring Equinox at Quinton Old Rectory. Preston Deanery Road, Northampton, NN7 2ED

“Spring has returned. The earth is like a child that knows poems.”

~ Rilke ~

Our afternoon will begin with some energising outdoor yoga on the lawn. Suitable for all levels of experience, we’ll enjoy a pacey flow to warm the body and stimulate the spirit. We’ll then experience an outdoor walking meditation inspired by forest bathing, helping us to connect with the burgeoning nature in the garden, followed by (optional but recommended) actual bathing in the garden’s swimming pond. The temperature of the water will be bracing but we guarantee you’ll feel amazing afterwards. We’ll be heading indoors after that, to warm up with seasonal herbal tea and homemade cakes before settling down for some journalling and a closing visualisation. You’ll leave feeling inspired and full of the joys of spring.

What’s included:

All practices on the day (yoga flow and restorative practices, a sound and breath journey, swim in the natural swimming pond, walking meditation in nature), a seasonal smoothie, warm herbal teas & cake.

You’ll receive an email with full joining instructions, including a list of what to bring, in the week before the event.

** Please note as some of the activities will take place outdoors, the celebration is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather on 16 March, the event will take place at Alchemise Yoga and Wellbeing studio instead.

About Emma:

I’m Emma. Like all of us, I wear many hats. Alongside Breathe4Good I’m a Mum to three (just about still) teens and run events and open days from my garden in Northamptonshire.  I love words (novels, poetry, memoir, self-development…I devour them all), running, cold-water swimming, yoga, herbs, preserving (so satisfying!) and my garden.  I’m passionate about wellbeing, good nutrition and leading a balanced life.

My discovery of breathwork in 2018 was the catalyst for powerful personal transformation, culminating in the creation of my wellbeing practice.
