Beltane is, at its essence, a festival that honours life, so it’s a perfect moment to tune into our own life force as manifested in our breath. Over the course of the workshop, we’ll explore various breathwork techniques, culminating in an extended session of conscious connected breathing with its potential for deep healing and transformation.
The workshop will be led by breath coach Emma Wise, who some of you will know from our garden retreat days over the past couple of years. Weaving words, nature and breath together, Emma will guide us on this three hour journey within.
Expect a powerful workshop; Earth’s energies are approaching their strongest and most active and all of life is bursting with potent fertility. The workshop will make use of this fertile ground to invite growth and renewal through our breathwork.
The session is physically quite passive, and no previous experience of breathwork is needed.
There will be time towards the end of the session to share tea and your experiences of the playshop together.
I’m Emma; mother, wife, dog-mum and breath coach. I love words (novels, memoir, poetry), cold water swimming, making preserves (so satisfying!) and most especially my garden.
After a twenty-year career in the corporate world providing tax advice to businesses and shareholders, I discovered rebirthing breathwork in 2018 on a retreat in Italy. My initial experience of connecting consciously with my breath was so profound that I committed to practitioner training within weeks, inspired to share my discovery of breathwork with the world. Qualifying as a rebirthing breathworker in 2021, I now work with individuals offering breathwork therapy and with groups exploring different breathwork techniques with the objective of allowing participants to explore their relationship with themselves and in doing so to connect ever more deeply with their true self.
The natural world, with its lessons of surrender and acceptance, impermanence and renewal, is the guiding light in my breathwork. Taking a gentle and empathetic approach, I encourage the use of the natural breath as a route to healing and transformation.
